Monday evening saw poetry, storytelling, music, and most importantly, talents flowing in the environment in 365 BC, C-Scheme. Around 120 young lads of pink city congregated at the venue and recited their creations amidst the breeze of coolers and aroma of coffee. The event took place under the aegis of Qalam organized by Tanishq Israni. The motive of the open mic event is to give a platform to city-based budding artists to perform and groom themselves.
The day witnessed performing artists from an array of fields. Theatre artists, musicians, poets, storytellers, stand-up comedians and many amateurs artists who work as professionals in dynamic areas came together in the sixth edition of Qalam. Meenu Brijesh Vyas was the guest on the day. Here are some of the performers; Jahanvi Sehgal, Aditya Raina, Saloni Sharma, Laxmi Rathore, Rishi Dixit. Akshita Sambaria, Shivangi Mayaramka, Swati Gait, Harshita Pareek, Vaneeka Sangtani, Aditi Nirmal, Jaishree Soni, Charush Khurana, Abhishek Shekhawat, Vaishnav Vyas, Gautam Gupta, Anurag Chaudhary, Dakshit Mathur and of course the organizer Mr. Israni. The audience went out of their way and supported all the performers and encouraged them. They were served virgin mojito. All this and more cost just Rs 100. The 3-hour long show started at 5:30 PM.
