The Ajurna Awardee shot a score of 252.9 in the edge of the thriller finale at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi. However, Chandela didn’t get off to a smooth start and slipped at the 7th spot during the game. But she didn’t allow the game to slip any further and hit the bull’s eye for Indians. Apurvi has won several medals at this prestigious championship in the past but it was her first gold. She has also secured the berth for 2020 Olympics.
